RED TIGER´S EYE
Tiger Eye or Tiger’s Eye is an iridescent gemstone. The tiger’s eye is the gold-brown complement to the hawk’s eye and owes its color to trace elements of iron. Its extensive silky shimmer makes it attractive as an ornamental stone, for seals, engraving and carvings. Tiger eye is a chatoyant form of chalcedony quartz with bands of fibrous crocodolite (asbestos). This iridescent gemstone exhibits a changeable silky lustre as light is reflected within the thin parallel bands in the structure of the material. Colours are generally yellow to red or brown, blue and grey.
